STAFF WORKSHOP
Below is some information on what this talk is about and the topics covered
Staff Workshop
This workshop is geared towards supporting school staff as they navigate the often tumultuous environment of students' wellbeing.
This training session gives staff a clear and actionable understanding of what today’s boys are navigating — socially, emotionally and academically — and how these pressures shape behaviour, engagement and identity in school. Drawing on extensive work across mainstream, SEND, PRU/AP settings, sports academies and private schools, we explore the real factors influencing boys: online pressures, confidence issues, peer dynamics, stereotypes, emotional regulation, motivation and the impact of negative narratives around masculinity.

The focus is on practical tools staff can use immediately, including:
-
how to reduce defensiveness and build trust with reluctant learners
-
strategies for de-escalating challenging behaviour without shame or confrontation
-
approaches that strengthen emotional literacy in boys who find feelings difficult
-
how to foster belonging, purpose and resilience in boys who feel disconnected
-
guidance for addressing online influence, peer pressure and relationship challenges
-
techniques that support boys with additional needs or disrupted education
-
ways to communicate high expectations while boosting confidence and self-worth
The session offers a supportive, open space for questions, discussion and bespoke requests. The aim is simple: to equip school staff with the insight and confidence needed to help boys thrive academically, socially and personally.
We thought Nathan was was super. Staff were delighted and hoping to arrange more workshops
