Independent Prep Schools (Years 3-8)
Below is some information on what this talk is about and the topics covered
Forming Grounded, Confident Young Boys
Independent prep schools lay the foundations for far more than academic success. They shape habits, character and identity during the most formative years of a boy’s life.

Our assemblies and workshops support that mission by helping boys develop in three key areas:
1
Self-Mastery
Helping boys understand and manage themselves.
-
Emotional Regulation
-
Positive self-talk
-
Taking responsibility for their actions
2
Respect & Relationships
Developing awareness of others - In person & Online.
-
Respect for self and others
-
Courage rooted in kindness
-
Building healthy relationships in both real-world and online spaces
3
Competition With Character
Thriving in challenge without loosing integrity.
-
Healthy competition & sportsmanship
-
Winning - and losing - with composure

A clearer sense of responsibility
-
Language to express frustration constructively

Early formation creates lasting strength

It was a fantastic assembly. Nathan's dynamism, warmth, delivery and openness were so well received. The students were hanging on his every word and the messages he had to share were absolutely bang on. It was fabulous for our students to hear all this from someone they could really look up to and relate to in a way that they can't always with us. It's so vital for our students to see somone who is modelling emotional literacy - It's fair to say that's something we often feel we need to work on with our Y8's and Y9's. The adults got a lot out of it too.
